No doubt all of us have heard the entire story about the "great" Tiger Woods. While reading an article on fox-sports.com, I came to the realization that I don't care about Tiger Woods or what he is doing. It seems like every time Tiger does anything there is a swarm of media ready to report about him. If Tiger takes out his trash, it's on the six o'clock news. I now ask why do we care that Tiger was in rehab, or home, or practicing to play golf again. Yes he was the worlds best golfer and made a huge amount of money, but he is still one man. Why should I care about his personal life or have a shot for shot analysis of his apology press conference. I work with a guy who makes a good amount of money and is one of the best firefighters in the state of Maryland, but if he cheated on his wife would there be a story about him on CNN? No people would gossip, but for the most part they would move on and could care less about his personal life. So if this is the reaction about one man's infidelities then why are another's such a huge topic.
I feel the exact same way, why should any of us care about Tiger Woods and his life. He is a human and he should be intitled to privacy just like everyone else. I don't want to hear about how he cheated on his wife everytime I turn on my tv. Just because he's a celebrity people believe that he can't make the same mistakes we make, as if he's not human. It's the same way with the Chris Brown and Rihanna story. And gosh if my boyfriend yell at the tv again today for his obsession with Rihanna Im going to hit him where it hurts. I can't understand why people think celebs aren't normal or they could never do any harm to others. They are humans and it's time for all of us to stop bashing other humans for the things half of us do eachday.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the fact that why should we care about Tiger Woods's infedility. The problem with the media is that they thrive on people's problems. These celebrities are normal human beings like you and I, but since they're famous people want to know everything little thing about them. I guess what they're trying to say is Tiger Woods was a good role model for his fellow golfers, and when all the drama came out about him cheating on his wife with over 10 women it portrayed a negative effect to his fans and viewers. The media acts like no one makes mistakes, and when they do they will be criticized until a new, juicer incident occurs. I personally got tired of seeing him on the cover of magazines and all over the television. Hopefully he learned his lesson, and we won't have to hear about this anymore.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you guys, Tiger woods is another human being and his life doesn't concern any of us. Every week a different female comes on the news and says she had been with tiger. Its all for fame and money thats why these girls do it. Why didn't they come out before, they sure were having fun with him then but now their making a name for themselves. The media ruins peoples lives, thats why being famous isn't always a good thing. They never have privacy and they are always being followed, its so sad. Hopefully Tiger would think twice before doing something so stupid like that again. He needs to focus on his family and no one else.

ReplyDeleteI think that people get caught up in the media and famous peoples lives when in reality, people are cheating on people every day but thats not important because they aren't "celebrities." The media takes a situation and blows it out of porportion just to stir up some gossip. If tiger would to hold a door for a women walking into the store the media would write some bogus article about tiger with another women. People get so sucked in to the media that they forget these are real people and they do make mistakes.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately Fame comes with media. Everything that this people go through its seen by the whole country. No to say that I feel bad for the guy but it definetly sucks that billions of people know what kind of person you are. Finally I do feel bad for his familly they are pity by people and maybe she doesnt want that, plus im sure their kids dont need that kind of drama in their life.
